My husband and I first met Jules at one of the biggest wedding fayres in the North West as we specifically went to find a photographer for our wedding day. Within 10 minutes of speaking to Jules  we instantly knew she was the one! Up until the build up to our big day, Jules was nothing but reassuring and made sure we were ready for our big day in terms of photographs. Jules made sure she captured every perfect moment and fine detail. I just cannot explain how much she made us feel at ease on the day and to be honest none of us even remembered that she was actually there taking photos she hid that well!! What we asked for was captured and even made getting everyone together to be in photos work like clockwork!

Her work is just truly beautiful and so colour and natural so you know what you are getting is real. Even our guests commented on her fun personality as to how lovely she was and we did very well picking Jules. West Tower Weddings – get to know the couple

• Tell me a little about the proposal. – Jonathan had booked for us to stay at the Lakes Spa Hotel in Bowness on 8 March 2022 as part of my valentine’s gift. I’ve always wanted to stay at this hotel and said I’d love to stay there one day as they have Jacuzzis on the balconies. We had planned to go out for food that evening but decided to go for a walk whilst the sun was setting as it was a lovely spring evening. Whilst on a walk overlooking Lake Windermere, he decided to get down on one knee and pop the question which was a lovely surprise. It was just us two in the moment and it felt so special.
• What made your choose your venue? I had been researching wedding venues online and instantly fell in love with West Tower as you could have the ceremony on site and stay overnight too. The interior and gardens surrounding the venue is just stunning. We both went to look around and knew instantly it was the one and what we wanted. I got this feeling inside and knew I wanted to get married there.

We initially met in Venue nightclub. 6 months later we bumped into each other again at the Deaf institute. We then went on our first date!

We went out for a walk to Macclesfield Forest where Andy proposed. My mums dog Alfie was watching.

This dreamy Ribble Valley winter wedding photography at Shireburn Arms  has to be one of my favourite ever festive weddings. Mostly because of Sophie & Matt, but also because of the dreamy golden hour we appeared at Cromwell bridge. That midday sunshine is always a corker at this time year.  As you can see Ribble Valley winter wedding photography looks stunning, so don’t let the cooler months PUT you off. Soft enough to shoot into but strong enough to give the perfect golden glow. This was my first December wedding at the Shireburn Arms, although over the years I have photographed at this Clitheroe wedding venue in pretty much all seasons, with my other favourite month being April, when the cherry blossom tree in the garden is in full blossom. If you get just the right window the tree will have enough blossom on the tree but also a layer of pink blossom on the ground too. Making the prettiest of photos – link here to see the proof!

We met when we were 17 years old at our mutual friends house party (he is one of our groomsman and takes every opportunity to remind that he introduced us ), we have been together 12 years this year

Cameron bought the ring ( I wasn’t aware) he went with his mum and my best friend to pick it. He had planned to propose during a weekend away in York, but he got too excited and proposed on a random week night in his bedroom at his mum and dads house, as I was going to leave….he shouted me back upstairs and he was down on one knee.

Bartle was the first venue we visited and instantly loved it. The surrounding gardens are beautiful and we love the contrast between the country house and barn.

I can’t express how perfect Jules was and I’m so glad we got one of her final dates for 2023! She’d done photos for two of my mates weddings and I knew we wanted her – so much so that we got her availability before seeing any venues so we knew we could secure her. On the day it was just like having another bridesmaid there (she was even colour coordinated with them). She’s like a mate who was just super fab at photography. The candid photos are a perfect addition to all the funny stories we heard from the day but didn’t quite manage to see – she got EVERYWHERE!
We got previews 3 days after the wedding and the full set 3 weeks after and they’re gorgeous. Looking through them I felt like Kiera Knightly in Love Actually (‘I look quite pretty’), I’ve never seen Stephen be happy to be in so many pictures and she’s got the most beautiful pictures of my grandparents too… only 68 years to go until we’re married as long as them!
So just to say – BOOK HER!! Your photos will be so full of joy… You will not regret it!

Well Being Farm Weddings – Meet the couple!!

How did you meet  – On hinge! We matched and then went into lockdown so had to be penpals for 3 months before we were allowed on a date. We bought beers and ciders and went and sat in the meadows in Salford until it got dark

Tell me a little about the proposal – Amy got home from a weekend long day at work, Stephen had cooked ‘engagement’ bourguignon as we now call it, he’d lit candles and fairylights at home. Amy knew he was going to propose so went to change into something nicer and Stephen knew she knew so made her wait until after dinner!

Why did you choose Well Being Farm? – Came across as really laid back, happy to accommodate pretty much everything we wanted to do, eco and you get llamas and donkeys

I LOVE photographing at new venues, so  being booked by Charlotte & Joe to be their Victoria Warehouse Wedding Photographer was a big thumbs up. Don’t get me wrong I love all my Ribble Valley favourites &  the wedding venues that I’m lucky enough get too every season. However there’s something nice about seeing a venue for the first and challenge of eyeballing all the best spots for images. Where is the light looking beautiful, interesting colours and unusual backdrops. Victoria Warehouse is definitely an Icon building. Based in Trafford Park, Manchester, close to  Manchester United football ground and the O2 music venue. It was originally a old cotton mill, back in the day, so has bags of character, quirk and is definitely a different vibe for a wedding venue. ABSOLUTELY love it! – its soooo my bag. Victoria Warehouse Wedding Photographer

I LOVE to find out a bit more about how my couples met and how they chose their stunning wedding venue!

• How did you meet?

Charlotte and Joe met in April of 2014 on Tinder! While studying in her 2nd year of Uni, Charlotte would swipe carefully on tinder, analysing every eligible bachelors’ profile, assessing their bios and pictures before deciding whether to swipe right. Joe however, got finger ache from swiping right on EVERY SINGLE WOMAN in the hope one would be a match. Lucky for him, he’d passed Charlottes scientific profile analysis and it was a match! Weeks of texts and facetimes ensued before they eventually met in September, and by 7th October (9 years ago exactly today!) they were official! The years that followed saw 4 homes, 2 cities, 1 cat, 2 kids, holidays, getaways, and countless gigs. These two are all the cliches, the Ying to each other’s yang, a matchmade in heaven (on tinder).

• Tell me a little about the proposal

After Joe convinced Charlotte to have her nails done outside of her usual 4-week schedule, Charlotte had a suspicion that a ring might have been on its way, but she had pestered Joe to pop the question for years to no avail. One evening a few days before Christmas in 2019, Joe wanted to take Charlotte for an early Christmas present. A late-night drive to Saltburn-on-the-Sea had Charlotte confused. They pulled up at the bottom of the pier, which was illuminated in the dark with fairy lights. They both hopped out of the car watching the waves and the stars when Joe got down on one ACL damaged knee and popped the question! Saltburn holds a lot of sentiment for Charlotte as it was her late step dad’s favourite place, so it’s no surprise that a big yes and ugly crying ensued!

• What made your chose your venue?

We had loads of visits to venues planned… and VW was the first, we instantly fell in love with its alternative feel and the industrial vibe of the whole venue… I later took my gran to the venue to show her where we’d picked.. she looked around and was disgusted I’d picked somewhere that wasn’t conventionally pretty… at that point I knew id picked the perfect place hahah!

I just adore big bright bold LOVE colour, so when your booked to photography an Autumn wedding at the stunning Lancashire wedding venue, Eaves Hall, you have to do a little happy dance. This time of year at Lancashire’s Eaves Hall is just a beautiful sea of reds, golds and browns. Add the hazy golden hours that Autumn gives us and its really has to be my favourite season in the wedding calendar. If you looking for a venue with class then Northcote hits the spot and is simply fabulous  I’ve been lucky enough to have photographed several weddings at Northcote and every time is offers me something different. From beautiful summer outdoor weddings, to this very windy, but very  stunning autumn wedding.  As a Northcote Wedding Photographer, I can honestly say its a dream venue.

My beautiful couple Laura & John were an absolute dream to work with. Bring the joy and  totally up for running around the grounds of Northcote in the windy October weather. I was concerned that Laura hair, dress would get wreaked, but Laura was like ‘don’t worry, lets do it!’ Laura & John are both mega metal heads, and normally spend every Halloween in USA watching a band. Due to COVID restrictions still in place for oversea flights they couldn’t, so decided the next best thing was to get married and party in the UK!  They both looked absolutely stunning. Laura in her gorgeous bride, red velvet shoes & red velvet cape. John choose a stylish aubergine suit, that looked super chic . Complementing Laura style seamlessly. Sarah & Saz chose to have my midweek coverage for their Thursday wedding, opting to extend it from 3hrs to 5hr. There was no preparations photography needed, and their celebrations at spring Cottage ended at 6pm. So ceremony, portraits, speeches, dinner, relaxing and first dance were all fitted neatly into a 5hrs coverage. Spring Cottage  wedding photographer

I fell in love with Spring Cottage as soon as I arrived. What a truly hidden gem of a wedding venue if you are looking for relaxed, informal vibes for your celebrations. Spring Cottage run weddings in the spring / summer peak season, from May to October. For me it the ideal venue for a intimate midweek wedding, like Sarah & Saz’s. Spring Cottage is set in the beautiful Rivington woodland in Bolton.  The venue allows space internally and externally for you to celebrate with close family and friends. Whilst internal rooms are beautifully decorated, the venue can come as a blank canvas, allowing couples to add their own personal touch whether that be adding individual decor or choosing table decorations.  The grounds can also be used by you too, whether that be for photographs or just for children to play and explore. The food is incredible ( I had a delicious meal provided by the couple?) catering menu changes depending on the season and is locally sourced. I absolutely loved my first time shooting here. So many great spots for portraits. Even using the happy yellow Hen house for some snaps – I just couldn’t resist, THAT COLOUR!!
