So happy to be sharing Rachel & Deb’s  gorgeous Stirk House wedding with you. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing many wedding at this Lancashire wedding venue over the years. Making me a well rounded Shirk House wedding photographer. However its been a while since I was last here, so I really wanted showcase Rachel & Debs wedding, as its my most up to date look at this wonderful Lancashire wedding venue.

Rachel & Debs had a twilight wedding ceremony, into relaxed drinks then the evening reception. Making their day feel more like a big party. We lucked out with the February weather, landing a dry, sunny day. Giving us gorgeous light into the early evening.

Well I’m so excited to finally be a Rudding Park, Harrogate Wedding Photographer, this set in the stunning countryside Hotel and sap is truly an elegant Harrogate wedding venue.  This luxury Harrogate resort, has three restaurants; including 1 MICHELIN Star immersive dining experience FIFTY TWO, a kitchen garden and private cinema. We booked Jules for our wedding in September at Rudding Park in Harrogate and she was amazing! We are not really the most photogenic or posey couple for photographs, we just wanted to be relaxed and enjoy as much as we could of our day with our guests. Jules definitely did this for us! Beeston Manor, Lancashire is one of the first wedding venues I photographed at when I made the move 17 years ago from Manchester to Lancashire. Its recently had a complete renovation, which I’m excited to return  later this year for another wedding and see all the new additions. There’s a new luxury  bridal suite for the ladies and smart chill out area, The Den for the fellas. Lancashire’s Beeston Manor is also one of the only Lancashire wedding venues that I know of  hat has its own Helicopter pad within its grounds. Perfect if you fancy a grand entrance!

Well it was only by chance that we met Jules at a wedding fair and I am so glad that we did! She made us feel relaxed and comfortable from the start and explained the wedding process clearly. Communication was great all the way up to and including the day. Jules is fun, organized and blended in with the guests that sometimes we didn’t even realize she was there. Tell me a little about the proposal.

The first was made by Danielle in Prague, 1^st August 23. We went up Petrin hill, Danielle then showed me a video that she had made, it was a compilation of lots of pictures of us and also friends and family that spelt out the message of ‘Do you want to do this marriage thing or what?’ Vicki had actually also already bought a ring! So the original plan was to do it in Cyprus at the end of August for on our anniversary, instead she brought it forward.It was done by setting up the living room with lights and candles, creating a picnic and setting up a game of Uno (something we play all the time) In Danielle’s hand was a blank uno card that said ‘Will you do this marriage thing with me too?’ ????

What made your chose your venue?

We both loved it!  Beeston Manor had a real cosy feel, gorgeous wooden beams and bright conservatory room was just perfect for what we needed.

WHAT a fabulous year for me as Lancashire Wedding photographer

I was lucky enough to be non stop shooting from February to December this year, making 2022 one of my busiest years to date. As well as photographing lots of beautiful Lancashire weddings I also had the pleasure of getting down into Cheshire, Manchester and over to Yorkshire for a few wedding too. I generally photography weddings in and around the surrounding areas of the Ribble Valley, although I’m more than happy to photography anywhere in The North West.

I had the pleasure of covering some of my favourite Lancashire wedding venues this year including – Browsholme Hall,  Holmes Mill,  Eaves Hall, Bartle Hall,  Falcon Manor & Ashfield House.

Just wow! Jules photographed our wedding in April this year and was the perfect addition to our day from the moment she arrived, photography skills amazing but Jules is also the loveliest person who was on hand throughout the day to just help wherever she could, from helping tidy up with the bridal party to keeping an eye on our daughter whilst she napped during the wedding breakfast, she made us feel completely at ease! – Our day was captured perfectly and we now have the best bunch of pictures to treasure – thank you so much, we are so grateful!

Choosing a photographer for your special day is quite daunting….are they going to make me do those cheesy poses, keep me away from my guests for hours or make really awkward jokes?! Thankfully, Jules came highly recommended by our venue and after looking through her Instagram page at previous work and having a quick informal chat….we knew she was the perfect photographer for us – and she did not disappoint!! From the moment she arrived to capture my preparations in the morning, she felt like a family member. She slipped into the group so easily as though we had known her for years!  We didn’t want to be away from our guests for hours and Jules made sure our ‘Couple Photos’ reflected us perfectly…relaxed and ridiculously happy!

Words cannot express how amazing Jules is! From the second we met she made us feel so welcome, and at ease (and neither of us are massive fans of having our photos taken). Jules was there every step of the way and always happy to answer questions, whether it be providing straight forward, but helpful, documents to complete prior to the wedding, to advising on inspiration pics/styles etc. The day ran like clockwork with Jules’ help, with her getting the perfect photo opportunities and even mucking in to help with the bridesmaids and flowers. There were times that we completely forgot that photos were being taken as we were so relaxed. Lancashire   Wedding   Photographers

I normally photography at least 2 wedding at Falcon Manor every year and ever time I always find new places within the gardens and Hall to photograph. There are those classic Falcon Manor images that are always lovely to capture. Like the beautiful back lit late evening image shot outside the front doors. Portraits on the dramatic stairs  are always a must too. I’m always most excited when I discover a new little spot where I’ve never captured before. My love of the silhouette shot is a firm favorite of mine, and at Falcon Manor there are so many spots to capture dramatic Silhouettes. The beautiful windows and doorways just lend themselves to these stunning shots.

Sarah & Luke are the most adorable couple.  This particular Falcon Manor wedding has to be my all time favourites. Not only were these guys so much fun to be around, but photographing their chilly March Winter wedding was a real treat. We popped out briefly in the fresh March air  for some cute sunlit garden portraits.
