So happy to be sharing Rachel & Deb’s  gorgeous Stirk House wedding with you. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing many wedding at this Lancashire wedding venue over the years. Making me a well rounded Shirk House wedding photographer. However its been a while since I was last here, so I really wanted showcase Rachel & Debs wedding, as its my most up to date look at this wonderful Lancashire wedding venue.

Rachel & Debs had a twilight wedding ceremony, into relaxed drinks then the evening reception. Making their day feel more like a big party. We lucked out with the February weather, landing a dry, sunny day. Giving us gorgeous light into the early evening.

Where do I even start with Jules. I am lost for words but I’ll try! My main worry about our wedding was that my partner absolutely HATES photos, I don’t think he would’ve been bothered if I told him I hadn’t even booked a photographer! It was a major concern of mine how he was going to deal with it on the day and I was really stressing for a long time about it. But oh WOW. After the ceremony we went off for our couples photos. I cannot explain the difference I saw in my husband. He was totally relaxed because of her. He was actually enjoying posing for the pictures!!! Even to the point he was showing Jules some of his own new poses he’d come up with. He was absolutely loving life and from the last 7 years I’ve been with Liam I have never ever witnessed this from him around a camera. From the minute I met Jules I felt completely at ease, I felt like I’d always known her !!! Our pictures speak for themselves and I could actually cry because she has made all my dreams come true having the pictures I’ve always dreamed of having at my wedding! Meet my Bartle Hall Couple!

We met when we were 17 years old at our mutual friends house party (he is one of our groomsman and takes every opportunity to remind that he introduced us ), we have been together 12 years this year

Cameron bought the ring ( I wasn’t aware) he went with his mum and my best friend to pick it. He had planned to propose during a weekend away in York, but he got too excited and proposed on a random week night in his bedroom at his mum and dads house, as I was going to leave….he shouted me back upstairs and he was down on one knee.

Bartle was the first venue we visited and instantly loved it. The surrounding gardens are beautiful and we love the contrast between the country house and barn.

Wyresdale Park Wedding venue in Lancashire, is an absolute gem!

This colourful Wyredales park wedding was a total real treat, beautiful venue and real great couple. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing two wedding at Wyresdale Park in Lancashire in 2024 and both have been beautifully colourful. I actually think both Chole & Suzie, my brides from both weddings chose me because of my colourful, virbrant, editing style. My style is  always captures the natural colours rather than muting colour or damping them down. There are so many beautiful colourful backdrops at the colourful Wyresdale weddings. There are stunningly awesome woodlands, the lake – where you can be brave and take a little trip out on the lake. The hall itself it also a stunning spot for portraits. What a reay love about Wyredale Weddings is the beautiful lodge where brides can use to get ready. The lighting in there is just perfect and the backdrop of the room make for lovely backdrops. The lovely light ceremony room is also a favourite. Wedding Photographer River Barn

Meet the couple

• How did you meet? – We met whilst working together at David Lloyd gym in Chorley. Friends first for a year and then started dating. We quit work after 4 years to travel together.
• Tell me a little about the proposal – travelling through India at the time. We spent 7 weeks in the country. The type of travel that will test any couple. We went to the Taj mahal. A place where it was overrun with people and way too busy for a quit intimate proposal that I wanted. Sunset, on the river at the front of the Taj mahal, rob manages to get a small wooden barley floating wooden boat. Paid the man $5 and we set out for the sun set and picture of the Taj.
• What made your chose River Barn?  -We went to school with James the owner, he contacted me about the new venue they had made. I instantly fell in love.
