We initially met in Venue nightclub. 6 months later we bumped into each other again at the Deaf institute. We then went on our first date!

We went out for a walk to Macclesfield Forest where Andy proposed. My mums dog Alfie was watching.

I can’t express how perfect Jules was and I’m so glad we got one of her final dates for 2023! She’d done photos for two of my mates weddings and I knew we wanted her – so much so that we got her availability before seeing any venues so we knew we could secure her. On the day it was just like having another bridesmaid there (she was even colour coordinated with them). She’s like a mate who was just super fab at photography. The candid photos are a perfect addition to all the funny stories we heard from the day but didn’t quite manage to see – she got EVERYWHERE!
We got previews 3 days after the wedding and the full set 3 weeks after and they’re gorgeous. Looking through them I felt like Kiera Knightly in Love Actually (‘I look quite pretty’), I’ve never seen Stephen be happy to be in so many pictures and she’s got the most beautiful pictures of my grandparents too… only 68 years to go until we’re married as long as them!
So just to say – BOOK HER!! Your photos will be so full of joy… You will not regret it!

Well Being Farm Weddings – Meet the couple!!

How did you meet  – On hinge! We matched and then went into lockdown so had to be penpals for 3 months before we were allowed on a date. We bought beers and ciders and went and sat in the meadows in Salford until it got dark

Tell me a little about the proposal – Amy got home from a weekend long day at work, Stephen had cooked ‘engagement’ bourguignon as we now call it, he’d lit candles and fairylights at home. Amy knew he was going to propose so went to change into something nicer and Stephen knew she knew so made her wait until after dinner!

Why did you choose Well Being Farm? – Came across as really laid back, happy to accommodate pretty much everything we wanted to do, eco and you get llamas and donkeys

HOT HOT HOT!! – Is the first thing that springs to mind when I think about this  Mid August wedding at the stunning Styal Lodge . It was one of the hottest days of the year,and even factor 50 couldn’t help! Saying  hat it did give us great light and a killer golden hour so TICK! This chic August wedding had it all. Gospel choir, beer pong,  a amazing magician,  a wild PPAAARRTTTYYYY and a big sparker finish at the end of the evening. Plus that beautiful golden hour? We decided the golden hour was the time to pop down to lake and make the most of the beautiful light. Which gave this gorgeous couple time to have a little quest time before the evening guests arrived. Will time for, a little stroll & a first dance practice ruin too. Then we  heading back to the lodge for some photo booth action, cocktails and the evening party. I’m pretty lucky that this is my third time, as a Styal Lodge wedding Photographer, so know the venue and amazing staff really well – (to read more about this fantastic venue scroll down- don’t forget to check out the pretty pictures on the way!)

It whole venue so so well designed it flows so well from the stunning and huge! –  bridal preparation room, into ceremony room which leads straight into the enormous dining area. Sarah & Saz chose to have my midweek coverage for their Thursday wedding, opting to extend it from 3hrs to 5hr. There was no preparations photography needed, and their celebrations at spring Cottage ended at 6pm. So ceremony, portraits, speeches, dinner, relaxing and first dance were all fitted neatly into a 5hrs coverage. Spring Cottage  wedding photographer

I fell in love with Spring Cottage as soon as I arrived. What a truly hidden gem of a wedding venue if you are looking for relaxed, informal vibes for your celebrations. Spring Cottage run weddings in the spring / summer peak season, from May to October. For me it the ideal venue for a intimate midweek wedding, like Sarah & Saz’s. Spring Cottage is set in the beautiful Rivington woodland in Bolton.  The venue allows space internally and externally for you to celebrate with close family and friends. Whilst internal rooms are beautifully decorated, the venue can come as a blank canvas, allowing couples to add their own personal touch whether that be adding individual decor or choosing table decorations.  The grounds can also be used by you too, whether that be for photographs or just for children to play and explore. The food is incredible ( I had a delicious meal provided by the couple?) catering menu changes depending on the season and is locally sourced. I absolutely loved my first time shooting here. So many great spots for portraits. Even using the happy yellow Hen house for some snaps – I just couldn’t resist, THAT COLOUR!!

First time as a Heaton House Farm Wedding Photographer – so excited to be finally shooting at the super pretty Cheshire wedding venue, and what an awesome day it was? Everything about Jade & Ben’s day just clicked into place with me. Literally from the minute I arrived &  joined the girls in bridal prep and was greeted by the friendliest bunch  of ladies. Same when I popped over to see Ben & the boys for some groom prepping. LOTS of fabulous candid snaps on this wedding. Everyone was outside most of the day, which always makes for mega mingling and great photos. Awesome speeches, crazy dancefloor moments and a some seriously beautiful portraits, made this wedding set just come together beautifully. I have another booking later this yr & then another in 2022 , so by then I will be a  very well seasoned. Jade & Ben looked at few venues in Lancashire & Cheshire, but fell in love with Heaton House Farm due it’s landscapes and rustic beams. We also loved that the rooms could be made smaller or larger depending upon guest numbers and that there was no need for room change-over. After moving their date a few time due to COVID!! – their most looking forward too seeing & hugging all our loved ones after the horrendous year.

Covid-19 and the government restrictions re gatherings has made these smaller gatherings – Micro weddings become a whole new thing within the wedding industry and are proving really popular.

Elopements

Ever imagined just running off with your better half and getting married in secret? just the two of you. How romantic! Big party later?  Think how much more simpler it would be. With all your everlasting memories captured forever, with some beautiful  relaxed wedding photos. We always think of elopements as something that happens in 1940’s or Hollywood movies. It really does have that air of excitement about it.  Is an intimate weddings & Elopements perfect for you ?

Weekday Weddings

Monday to Thursday weddings have always been geared towards smaller more intimate weddings . If you are thinking of having a smaller numbers venues are more likely to cater for this on these quieter days of the week. It opens up the wedding dining to maybe even a restaurant rather than a hotel. Making pricing per head a lot cheaper. Maybe keeping things casual with a barbeque. Outfits – dress  & suit can be more relaxed and low key too. For some people this is a real bonus at they have never thought of themselves in the big white wedding dress or 3 piece suit affair.You could go the other way and book the venue of your dreams that you could never afford on a Saturday in the middle of Summer BUT…a Tuesday in January or February maybe right on budget. Just 15 to 20 close family and friends and you have a the perfect day!

Wintery, glamour for this wedding , making me one happy Holmes Mill  Lancashire Winter wedding  Have the pleasure of photographing a few winter weddings at the gorgeous Holmes Mill Winter Weddings the twinkly  lights in the main room provides so much winter Joy! Get to know the couple

• How did you meet?

We met working as swimming teachers at our local leisure centre trust 9.5 years ago, we both realised we “liked” each other whilst playing a very mature game of snog, marry, avoid…

• Tell me a little about the proposal.

We went on a little getaway last December to the Lake District where we got pretty much snowed in to our lodge. On the day Jack proposed, he suggested a drive to Ennerdale lake not too far away. I was shouting at him the whole way there as the roads were pretty treacherous. When we got there Jack suggested a walk down to a little beach area. It was so cold and our little boy was not happy, I turned to give him a custard cream and when I turned back around jack was down on one knee. We enjoyed a glass of prosecco after that Jack had managed to sneak under the pram without me noticing.

• What made you choose your venue?

Holmes Mill was just very different to other venues we had seen online and we really like the idea that it is a venue we can continue to enjoy in other capacities for years to come.

Better  Rates!

It will be cheaper!.. it’s a dead cert that you venue (your most expensive layout for you wedding) will have winter rates and be a lot cheaper than mid summer months. If you go for a Thursday or Sunday you may get even better rates again. Other suppliers such as your photographer, that’s me will also offer winter discounts. I offer discounts for November, January, February & March. Ask around and you may get a discount with all your suppliers making a fabulous saving overall. Extended honeymoon anyone!

Sunning Snowy Photos

Snow Queen & King… how dreamy would a white wedding be. Now I know that no one can really plan for a white wedding, its just pot luck isn’t it. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing a several of snowy weddings and they are just the beautiful. The photography is amazing as the snow bounces light everywhere., which it so flattering against the skin. Wellies are a must which adds to the relaxed fun feel of the photos, although I have had brides who have braved the wedding shoes for that awesome shoe shot.Dress up for a winter wedding – you can make it all about the glamour. As the temperatures are not melting. The guys will love to wear the full dinner suit and the ladies can go to town with disco sparkles and full on hollywood furs for that winter chill.  Sparklers at night will add to that whole winter wonderland affair

The May sunshine was so kind to this Wedding at Browsholme Hall Clitheroe and these two beautiful humans. • How did you meet? We met at the works Christmas party. Rachel’s friend worked with Damon.Rachel’s standout memory of the night is Damon’s dance moves.

• What made your choose your venue? We are usually pretty decisive and easily reach an agreement. We had viewed quite a few venues and nothing felt “right”. When we viewed Browsholme it just clicked. When we got in our car to leave Damon said he had a feeling of “this is where I am going to be standing when I marry you” when stood in the barn.

• What are you most looking forward to on your big day? Finally being husband and wife! And having all of our friends and family under one roof!

A beautiful Inn at Whitewell wedding in Lancashire has all the charm and character for a relaxed wedding day. The Inn is situated in the stunning Forest Of Bowland in Lancashire. They have won many awards for the restaurant & food quality, making very popular with locals and diner throughout the Ribble Valley. If you decide to hold your civil ceremony at the Inn at Whitewell it will either be in the Dining Room or the Orangery. Its Marquee extension to the right of the building is where your wedding Celebrations will be held. This light filled marque is an amazing space is vast, offering lots of room for all your guests to relax and mingle inside & out. There is gorgeous balcony at the back of the Marquee that looks over the River & never ending rolling hills. Inn at Whitewell  Weddings

These had just guys  BEST day – A perfect winter wedding. A touch of frost added to the festive feel, giving all the sparkle but no stress like snow can sometimes cause. The ceremony was held in the Whitewell church just next door to the Inn, making it perfection for guests to just stroll across for drinks after a fabulous confetti throw – of course! Whalley church.

The marquee had been dressed with an eye catching hanging display of winter foliage from the ceiling. Not only did it look amazing, but the smell was incredible. Styling simple as the room really does speak for itself. Their were small floral displays on each table, cute fairy lights spread across the ceilings. Adding touch of magic when the evening got darker.
