Dogs at Lancashire weddings are or babies, part of the family and loves of our lives. So why shouldn’t they be at our Wedding Day! Over the past 5 years I have had more couples inviting their dogs to the wedding. They have been VIP guests. Ring Bearers or just loving comfort blankets!. They get dressed up in bow ties, ribbons, flashy collars  & waistcoats. Are given luxury dog food at dinner time and basically have a bloody good day out! There are more  wedding venues that are really cool with having dogs at weddings. This year that ever there has been more Dogs at Lancashire weddings.

The advantage of having family there is they can help during the day with walkies & playtime!

More farms are offering to host your wedding these days. Opening up the opportunity of having all-sorts of quirky animals  at your wedding. Some of the more popular ones in Lancashire can offer you time in your wedding plan to have photos and cuddles with Llama, Donkeys, Horses, Chicken & Alpaca’s!. I’ve also photographed wedding where a fabulous company will bring the llamas to YOU! Never work with children & animals they say!:)… well as a wedding photographer you will work with both. Sometimes at the same time!. All animals really do make for great photo opportunities. We never know what’s going to happen next,; and that’s why it so GOOD!. Unpredictable & exciting. Hopefully as i push the trigger your doggie will give you the biggest lick around the chops or the classic shot – THE POOP!:)

Charlotte met me at a Manchester wedding fair. She fell in love with my colorful style & booked me to photography her Portmeiron wedding that very  day. I had visited Portmeirion with my family years before and had amazing memories, so was super excited to actually photograph a wedding there. We arranged a pre-shoot at the village a few months before the wedding;  which was amazing ( if not windy!) as i got to check out all the my favourite locations again and recapture a feels of this beautiful wedding venue again. Despite a little rain on the day, it all finished on a high note with the sun coming out late afternoon; which meant we could get outside and get snapping away. Making my first Portmeirion wedding photography experience – totally AMAZING!

Portmeirion    Wedding    Photographer   –  North    Wales

If you have never been to Portmeirion – North Wales you should definitely take a day trip. Its set on the coast in Gwynedd the setting is just breath taking making it a unique setting. It was built in two stages from 1925 – 1939  and then from 1954 – 76. In the 1960s. Susan Williams – Ellis is the daughter of Clough the founder of Portmeirion. She took over the running of the estate and introduced Portmeirion Pottery, designing her world famous Botanical Garden range in 1972.

North Wales is such a beautiful place beautiful place to get married, but a Portmeirion Wedding North Wales is pretty special. The memory that you will come away with from Portmeirion is the COLOUR. Its everywhere, and in many ways feels like the your in Mediterranean. It also has the added wow factor of the amazing architecture , giant chess board floors,  fountains, balconies and rolling landscape it all comes together as a fest for the eyes.

1960’s    Iconic    TV    Show    –    The     Prisoner

In the 1960’s the cult TV drama The Prisoner was filmed there. It was a international success, loved by millions including The Beatles.  The Prisoner, stared Patrick McGoohan as Number Six, the leading role. He was also the creator and driving force behind the 17 episode series. The series is rich in imagery and visual impact. The surreal architecture of the village with its Mediterranean atmosphere coupled with the high-tech interiors, tannoys, surveillance cameras and piped music create a bizarre combination.
