How do we book you?
You can get in touch either via e-mail or call, firstly we can see if we are free for your date.. if we are the next thing is to meet up for a informal chat, coffee or tea!.You are welcome to come and see me at my home in Rawtenstall or we can meet at your choosen venue. Where you can look over our albums...its good to see the images in print and and get a real feel quality of the finished product. We use some of the best albums on the profressional market. We can discuss your ideas, requests likes and dislikes... i know from experience that wedding photography is not one fits all, every wedding is different and its your day, so we want to know what you want. If you like me, hopefully you will.. we can go from there.
Do you need a deposit?
Yes, when you decide that you would like to book us, there is some paperwork, both for myself and your wedding folder...you know you have one!... and then you can secure your date with a £150 deposit.Bookings for 2013 and 2014 weddings will have a 10% price increase on top of our current listed prices.
When is the balance paid?
The balance is paid around 1 month before your wedding day. Around this time i will be in touch to check all the final arrangements, formal images list, etc.I will have visted your venue at this point, if i have'nt already photographed there before. This way i can get a good idea of the location and pick the best spots for great images and also have a rainy day back up plan to hand as we do live in England after all..
What does 'pre - ceremony' coverage include?
Our introduction coverage includes a hour before the ceremony at the church or venue. I will photograph the location shots, grooms men, guests and your details, bride arriving, ceremony, formal, candid, room shots and cake. Then go before you sit down to your wedding meal.If your speeches are going to take place before your meal we can also stay for them too. For the whole day coverage, we stay til around 30 mins or so after your first dance, though we can stay later into your party if you wish, ask for more information.
Are you insured?
We are fully insured and use Nikon cameras and equipment. We always carry extra kit including spare cameras and batteries to ensure that your big day goes without any hitches. Our top of the range equipment enables us to shoot with natural light where ever possible, giving stunning atmosphere to your images.
Do you take group shots?
Yes we do....We ask you to make a list of the formal photos that you would like, so we can have that to hand on the day. We also ask if you can keep this to a maximum of around 8 groups, so we can undertake it as smoothly and quickly as possible. Your ushers and best man can be a great help at this point in gathering family members and friends.
I have found a photographer who will cover my wedding for £500 for 800+ on CD, for the whole day can you match the price?
If you shop around and compare websites and prices you will see that photographers prices do vary.We are very competatively priced in todays wedding photography market, i know as i shop around too. Generally when photographers are charging so little they may be very new to the world of wedding photography, and perhaps be giving very little time to the post production of your wedding images. As a full time profressional, i have studied photography to degree level and have photographed over 100 weddings and thats where the experience comes in. I know that weddings are costly, i have had one myself.!....but your images are the one thing, from your whole wedding day that will be with you for a lifetime. I take time on your day to get great images with feeling and emotion, and time after your day, normally up to another 3 working days to edit your images and design your album. Also your photographer will be with you and your guests on your special day...so its really important to choose someone you relax and gel with.
Read this real life story from a client who tryed to cut corners on her photo budget, published on 'Rock and Roll Bride' Blog in Jan 2012.A real warning, that you get what you pay for.http://www.rocknrollbride.com/2012/01/should-i-book-a-professional-wedding-photographer-or-get-a-friend-to-do-it-for-free-a-cautionary-tale/#more-101215
Can we upgrade?
You can upgrade your package if you wish, either in album size or page number so your album can hold more images. This can be done either before or after your wedding day. We can also arrange for guest minibooks, parent albums, framed prints or canvases for you.
Our family would like to to help us pay for our wedding photography, can you arrange that?
Yes we offers 'money vouchers' if you wish to add your wedding photography to your wedding list. This can really help you with the cost and let you choose the coverage and album you really would like, without compremising. We can also arrange for gift vouchers if you wish to purchase them for your special guests, such as mums, bridesmaids, ushers.Your guests can then select to buy any prints or guest albums via your personal wedding gallery.
When will my photos be ready to view?
Around two to three weeks after your wedding i will have all your images edited and ready to view via your private gallery online. Each image is colour balanced, cropped and retouched. Some images may benefit from extra enhancement with creative editing, colorway work etc which i love to do.All the work is completed by myself and not shipped out to an editor to save time. Editing your photography and designing your album is a big part of completing our wedding service to you. You can then choose your favourites for your album, and i will add the extra images to help your album flow and tell a great story; you then view a proof copy and make any changes you wish before printing. Most albums and CD's are finished and ready to collect in around 6 weeks after you have choosen your favourite images.
