When you book Holmes Mill for you wedding your definitely get a wedding venue that is off beat, unique with loads of vibe. I was lucky enough to photograph one of the very first weddings at Holmes Mill back in September 2017, when it first opened its doors. The fabulous mix of original mill features, beautiful decor & quirky styling and exposed brick work throughout the venue is really unique. Its got hotel accommodation onsite & BLOODY delicious real ales to boot!:)- really making Holmes Mill an excellent choice for you wedding.
There are lots of great spots for portraits including stairwells, 1920’s cocktail bar, engine room, cinema seats in the main dining room & the food hall – YES the food hall. Its AMAZING for quirky, colourful portraits. There are many other great spots too; many to mention, but one of the favorites is the metal storage containers at the front of the bar. Not always accessible on a busy Saturday, but they do make for some great imagery.Quirky Holmes Mill Wedding Clitheroe
There’s a nice quite little area in between the hall and the hotel where all your family portraits can taken too. This area also doubles as a great location for your evening images. Lit with festoon lighting for a dreamy feel; deal for those sparkler images too.

Sarah & Gareth’s wedding was a total dream for me. They are such a chilled couple, wanting very natural portraits and lots of fun images with their family & besties. They spent a fortune on Confetti, giving me my most favorite confetti moment EVER!
Sarah told me that the two mums’ wanted lots of photos with their siblings and extended family; so i asked Sarah to get the mums’ to compose their own personal photo lists. While Sarah & Gareth chilled out I made the Mums’ day and snapping all their requests – everybody happy – TICK!.
